Step 1: Plug in the Repeater Unit

  1. Locate a standard electrical outlet in your garage, preferably close to your garage door opener.
  2. Plug the LiftMaster 855LM Repeater unit into the outlet. Ensure the purple antenna wire hangs freely and is not coiled for optimal signal reception.

Step 2: Program the Learning Remote to your Garage Door Opener

The included learning remote control needs to be programmed to your Security+ 2.0 garage door opener first.

  1. On your garage door opener, locate the "Learn" button. The color of the learn button (e.g., yellow, purple, red/orange, green) indicates the type of Security+ technology. For Security+ 2.0, it is typically a yellow or purple button.
